After four months as the World’s second best breathing in the American Kent Farrington’s neck, Dutchman Harrie Smolders has reached the top of the Rankings this month and can proudly call himself for the first time in his career the new World number one! After an incredibly successful 2017 which well continued this year Smolders took over the lead from Farrington by 245 points. After exactly one year at the top Farrington now has to settle for second place, however he will be back in action this month following his leg fracture last February to battle his way back to the top.
Looking at the Top 10 we see that the Italians have made room for the Germans this month. With both Lorenzo de Luca and Alberto Zorzi dropping out to respectively rank 13 and 15, we welcome back in the Top 10 Marcus Ehning and Daniel Deusser on rank 8 and 10. Following her fabulous win in the FEI World CupTM Jumping Final in Paris last month, Beezie Madden (USA) is well on her way back up and landed herself just outside the Top 10 in 11th position.
With the FEI Jumping Nations CupTM outdoor season just underway we are sure of more excitement to come next month!
