Holland gains a new CSI3 show with the Winter Masters

Under the name Winter Masters a new three star show jumping event will be organized in the Netherlands from 7 to 10 February. The organization of the show, consisting of Ken Ruysen, Luc Poels and Carlos Pinto, had the choice of a number of locations in the Netherlands and Belgium. The committee eventually selected the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen and intend to give the accommodation a complete make-over for the occasion.

Excellent experience
Unlike the two star competitions, which are organized several times a year by De Peelbergen itself, the large warming-up hall of 100 x 40 meters will be transformed into the main arena for the Winter Masters. Through the central main arena, decorated with a high-tech light and sound system, an adjacent experience village for the public and a VIP lounge, the organization will create an unprecedented experience in the village of Kronenberg.

Highly appraised course designer
The total prize money to be won in the CSI3*, 1* and YH1* classes is no less than 160.000 euros. Of this, more than fifty thousand euros is reserved for one of the highlights of the show on Sunday afternoon, the 1.55 m Grand Prix. With three Longines ranking classes on the program, there is also a good number of points to be collected for the world ranking list. The course designer that is in charge of the obstacles is Frank Rothenberger. The German national is highly appraised on account of his courses built at various European championships, World Cup finals and World Equestrian Games.

Free entrance
During the Winter Masters the two other indoor arenas of De Peelbergen will act as warming-up area for the main arena and as a second competition arena. Over one of the outdoor arenas of the complex a tent will be built to give all the riders and horses extra space for the warm-up. Access to this international three star jumping event, with various stands, a sushi bar and live entertainment is free, as is the parking.
