Now, the August edition shifts the spotlight to an exceptional filly by Ermitage Kalone from an Olympic damline. “This filly immediately catches my eye. She’s the spitting image of her phenomenal sire, Ermitage Kalone, and comes from an outstanding dam line. Her four-year-old dam is already showing tremendous potential,” says Suus Kuyten.

For the latest edition of SK Favorite, Kuyten has once again selected a filly she fully believes in. This time, the spotlight is on Everybody’s Darling vd Heidehoeve Z. With her pedigree and talent, this filly has everything it takes to truly live up to her name. Everybody’s Darling vd Heidehoeve Z combines in her pedigree the outstanding showjumper Ermitage Kalone, with whom Gilles Thomas is making history, and an exceptionally strong Belgian damline.

Full sister to Olympic Romeo 88

Her granddam Supersoldy vd Heffinck made her international 1.45m debut this spring at the age of eight under Thibault Vermeulen and is a half-sister to the international 1.60m horse Rossi vd Heffinck, who is already competing in 5* Grand Prixs as a nine-year-old with Mark McAuley, as well as the 1.45/1.50m performers Maquinn vd Heffinck and Sissi Star d’Augustijn. In the third generation, Everybody’s Darling vd Heidehoeve Z traces back to the international 1.50m mare Isolde vd Heffinck, ridden by Rodrigo Almeida. She is the renowned full sister of Harry Charles’ Olympic showjumper Romeo 88 and a half-sister to the equally successful top-level jumpers Clown of Picobello Z and Check Picobello Z.

“Who doesn’t love Ermitage Kalone”

“Who doesn’t love Ermitage Kalone? I’ve admired him for a long time. I was hoping for a chestnut foal with lots of white, and that’s exactly what I got. By crossing him with my Conthargos x Chacco-Blue mare, I wanted to introduce some fresh blood while keeping the proven quality of the dam line. I couldn’t be happier with the result.”

A different approach to auctions

With SK Favorite, Suus Kuyten deliberately takes a different approach to horse auctions. Instead of presenting a large collection, every edition focuses on just one carefully selected horse. “The market has changed. Buyers are searching for quality all year round. With this concept, I can offer my clients something extra alongside the live auction in December,” Kuyten explains.

Place your bid

Photos, videos and the complete veterinary information of this exceptional four-year-old ridden stallion are available on the SK Favorite auction platform.
