The answer came on Saturday evening, September 12: online bidding only stopped at \u20ac102,000.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:post-content -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Even more special is that Lady de L\u2019Ile Z (United Touch S x Copabella Visage) was purchased from France on behalf of an American owner of top-level showjumpers. The filly will therefore have every opportunity to develop her potential in the sport.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The Flanders Foal Auction celebrated its fifth and final foal auction of the year with an average price of \u20ac27,578 for the 45 foals sold. Several Grand Prix riders also invested in foals, with buyers from no fewer than 17 different countries. In total, 21 foals were purchased on-site at Sentower Park, 21 online and three by telephone.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201cLooking back, we have had a very successful auction year. When we combine the results of all five auctions, we achieved an average price of just under \u20ac27,000. It is a great reward and recognition for the breeders, but also for our entire team. It has been a very busy period. And we are not quite finished yet. The first foals can already be weaned and transported, and of course we will help with that as well,\u201d explain Luk Van Puymbroeck and Gerald Lenaerts.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Son of Fit For Fun for \u20ac55,000<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Six foals were sold for \u20ac44,000 or more at this final auction. A former Olympic medallist purchased Elysian For Fun (Ermitage Kalone x For Pleasure), out of the Olympic mare Fit For Fun, by telephone for \u20ac55,000. Conquistador W (Comme il Faut x Kashmir Van Schuttershof), a grandson of Electra van \u2019t Roosakker, sold for \u20ac50,000.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The online bidders held on the longest for the more expensive foals. In addition to the \u20ac102,000 paid for the pinto filly, a buyer from the United States bid \u20ac52,000 for United Colors van WW Z (United Touch S x Kashmir Van Schuttershof), a half-brother to World Equestrian Championship horse Nelson van \u2019t Roosakker (1.60m Grand Prix).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Castor van \u2019t Volpenhof Z (Carambole x Vancouver d\u2019Auvray), a half-brother to Jezebeau BC (1.60m Grand Prix) and closely related to Impress-K van \u2019t Kattenheye, will move to an online buyer in Italy for \u20ac48,000.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>A German Grand Prix rider purchased five foals on-site, including Dua Lipa van \u2019t Koningsbos (Cornet Obolensky x Kannan), out of a half-sister to United Touch S, for \u20ac46,000, and Chic Obolensky v\/h Kouterhof VV Z (Cornet Obolensky x Chin Chin) for \u20ac38,000.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The filly Unique Touch W (United Touch S x Come On), out of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Skala, will remain in the Netherlands after selling for \u20ac44,000.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>Embryo auction<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Now that the final foals have been auctioned, it does not mean we have to wait until 2027 for the next Flanders Foal Auction.
