It was already a demonstration of superiority in the shadow of the Pyramids of Giza: With a total of four nil rounds in the two rounds, Marco Kutscher on Pikeur Lemar NRW (v. Los Angeles) and Maximilian Weishaupt on Zuccero HV (v. VDL Zirocco Blue) not only won the fourteenth stage of the Global Champions Tour in Cairo convincingly, but also secured the overall ranking of the GCL 2026 in advance with their fifth victory of the season. They finished as second in the first round and the fiercest competitors in the overall standings had already increased the pressure there with fast nil rounds. But while their team boss Ludger Beerbaum watched with the greatest tension in the Kiss-And-Cry-Air, his two riders delivered nil rounds with the utmost precision, thereby destroying all the competition's hopes of a slip-up.

Of course, according to his own words, Ludger Beerbaum was „over the moon“ afterwards.

The team of Iron Dames Cannes Stars, which had finished the first round as the leader, delivered this slip instead: After two zeros, Ines Joly followed by Faylinn de Fondcombe (v. Lando) with three errors in round two, and Sophie Hinners added one with Iron Dames Kaleni Jo (v. Kannan), so they ended up only being eighth.

Second place went to the Istanbul Warriors, who thus also secured their second place in the overall standings. A mistake by Abdel Said in the first round on Wathnan Bonne Amie (v. A Big Boy) was followed by a double zero by Simon Delestre on Gatsby du Tillard (v. President) and a zero by Abdel Said on Wathnan Max (v. Grandorado TN). Third place, with a total of four total error points, was taken by the Prague Lions Niels Bruynseels and Pieter Devos, which also meant a secure third place in the overall standings for them.

Before the team jumping, Christian Kukuk had already won the individual competition on Checker (v. Comme il Faut), which also went over 1.60m, ahead of Max Kühner on Vivo de Muze PS (Vivant) and Emanuele Gaudiano on Chabrello PS (v. Exelero).
