67 three-year-old stallions travel to the Holsten Halles with their breeders, trainers, and owners to compete for the coveted title of Best of Breed. Whether the commission releases them as winners after three days of strict judging is decided on Thursday, the first positive impression in the three-cornered course must be left by 10:30 a.m. The event day on Saturday is traditionally dedicated entirely to the freestyle and jumping competitions, before all the competitors once again take to the Holsten Halles track on Saturday morning at 09:30.
