Organizer Mario Everse is thrilled with the strong start: “During the video days we had it all: sun, wind, rain and even several rainbows over the arena. That’s why we called it the Pot of Gold Collection, because the horses jumped so well it truly felt like we had struck gold. Of course, we always select talented horses for each auction, but this time there are some truly exceptional ones. Quickborn 8 is a perfect example: an experienced 1.45m-level showjumping horse. He even jumped the European Championships for juniors. His new owners in England are sure to enjoy him immensely.”
Championship stars
Excitement is building for the second auction today. “The second part of the collection promises even more excitement,” Everse continues. “Among the highlights are Ultimo vd Molendreef, the Belgian five-year-old champion, and Ollalla, the mare who placed sixth at the World Championships in Lanaken. We’re also offering the four-year-old AES-approved stallion Dill des Cabanes Z, as well as several interestingly bred embryos, foals and broodmares from top bloodlines. It’s a unique opportunity to strengthen your stable with world-class talent.”
€18,000 for Aganix du Seigneur colt
Among the foals, Amaretto Sweet (Aganix du Seigneur x Iceman de Muze) proved to be the audience favorite. The colt, bred out of the half-sister of Daniel Bluman’s Gemma W, was sold for €18,000 to buyers from the United States. The five-year-old Emmalique RV (Emerald van ’t Ruytershof x Mr. Blue) will head to Sweden, while the five-year-old gelding Kenji SK (Kannan Jr. x Calido I) is bound for the Czech Republic.
Germany and the United Kingdom each secured five successful purchases. The United Arab Emirates claimed four lots, while the Czech Republic took home three horses. Additionally, horses were sold to Venezuela, Mexico and Bahrain, among others.
