World Championship star Ollalla shines at Youhorse.auction with €100,000 bid

The second auction day of the Pot of Gold Collection by Youhorse.auction ended in style on Wednesday, October 8, with an absolute highlight: a bid of €100,000 for the five-year-old mare Ollalla (Orplid x Lesotho). The finalist of the WBFSH World Breeding Championships for Young Showjumping Horses in Lanaken once again proved her exceptional class.

“Fantastic!” said organizer Mario Everse enthusiastically. “We had high expectations for this edition and they were fully met. Ollalla was sold through our auction in 2023 to her current owner. Two weeks ago, she caught everyone’s attention again by finishing sixth in the World Championship final. After receiving several inquiries, we decided together with the owner to include her as a wildcard in this auction. Seeing her shine here again feels like coming full circle. Truly special.”

According to Everse, Ollalla was the perfect showpiece for the auction: “She immediately drew international attention. We saw bids coming in from all over the world, including from major professional stables. The fact that renowned riders are buying horses for themselves is a fantastic sign for the future. And having many of our regular clients purchase again is the ultimate compliment.”

International interest at the highest level

The Pot of Gold Collection was ultimately sold to 24 different countries, once again underlining the global reach of Youhorse.auction. The United Kingdom led this edition with eight purchases, followed by the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Belgiumand the Czech Republic, each securing five horses.

There was also strong bidding in the higher price range: the four-year-old stallion Fred B Z (For Treasure VDL x Levisto Z) is heading to the United States, while the seven-year-old Castor Champion Z (Comme Il Faut x Kigali) was sold for over €50,000 to buyers from Poland.
