On 16 December, the idyllic showjumping and trading stables in Eemnes will once again be transformed into a warm, festive and inviting auction venue where professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world gather. In recent years, most horses have been sold to international riders, a testament to the trust the auction has earned.
Suus Kuyten Auctions is growing on all fronts, and Suus notices that expectations are rising accordingly. “I dream of growing even further, but that means you have to offer your very best horses. There are several in the collection I would have gladly kept for myself. The collection consists of 26 horses, all vetted and approved for sport,” she explains.
Uniquely, two horses in the collection participated in the final of the WBFSH World Breeding Championships for five-year-old showjumping horses in Lanaken: Pennsylvania VDS (Dominator 2000 Z) and Powerman (Jukebox). The collection also includes several approved stallions and young talents from Suus Kuyten’s own breeding program. The six-year-old mare Dame de Montrose Z (Dominator 2000 Z) is even being hailed as the best horse ever offered in her auction.
The pedigrees are particularly impressive. The five-year-old Commerce de Muze HFF Z (Chacco Blue x Heartbreaker), for example, is the full brother of the approved stallion Tarfufo de Muze. The three-year-old AES stallion Olly vh Zand Z (Orak d’Hamwyck) is a half-brother to the 1.60m Grand Prix horse Evita van ’t Zoggehof and a grandson of Fragance de Chalus.
The horses can be tried by appointment from 1 to 8 December. The ticket shop for attending the entertainment-filled auction evening will open this weekend.
