The first top lot of the year is Rush de la Liniere (Nesquick de la Liere x Figo de Muze). The nine-year-old gelding with 1.40m experience was the subject of a fierce international bidding battle and eventually changed hands for €40,000, heading to Mexico. Exellentia Z (El Torreo de Muze x Eldorado van de Zeshoek) also confirmed her quality; the ten-year-old mare impressed with her performances at 1.40m level and will continue her career in the Middle East.
That not only experienced horses were in demand was evident from the strong interest in the younger generation. The gelding Karelli (Kassander van ’t Roosakker x Balou du Rouet), born in 2022, was sold to the United States, while the five-year-old mare Die Oder Keine (Dominator 2000 Z x Cassini I) will pursue her future in Spain. A buyer from South Africa even struck three times, securing, among others, the four-year-old stallion Secret (Emerald van ’t Ruytershof x Big Star).
USA in the lead
Many of the horses were purchased by clients who have already invested successfully through Youhorse.auction in the past, once again underlining confidence in the auction. At the same time, many new bidders were welcomed. For now, the United States leads the rankings with six purchases, but the race is far from over.
One more evening of excitement
Later today marks the final burst of excitement of the New Year’s auction. Organizer Mario Everse looks ahead with great anticipation:
“We deliberately divided the collection over two evenings so that each horse receives the attention it deserves. Tonight’s group is at least as interesting and versatile as yesterday’s. From broodmares and an embryo to approved stallions and show jumpers with experience at 1.45m level. There is something for everyone. Experience shows that the real battle only erupts in the final minutes. That promises one more explosive start to the new year!”
