No extensive collection, but full focus on a single auction lot. “The market is constantly evolving,” says Suus. “Clients orient themselves all year round. With SK Favorite, I can continue to serve them without compromising exclusivity. I only want to offer what I fully stand behind. That means selecting sharply and daring to choose.”
Vision translated into action
The first edition immediately underlines that vision. It concerns an implanted embryo from the influential dam line of Fragance de Chalus, a name that has represented top-level performance in international showjumping for decades. Fragance de Chalus gained worldwide recognition as the dam of 1.60m stallions Mylord Carthago, Bamako de Muze, and Norton d’Eole. In addition, she produced multiple 1.50/1.55m performers, including Arc en Ciel de Muze, Hugh Grant de Muze, Jolly Mome, and Iorio. Her influence is equally evident in the second generation. Top showjumpers such as Ego van Orti, Jaguar vd Berghoeve, Théodore Manciais, Elouise de Muze, Evita van ’t Zoggehof, Queen Girl Kervec, and Tin Tin de la Pomme carry her genetics, confirming the strength of this remarkable family.
Half-brother or half-sister to established auction successes
The direct dam of this embryo continues this line and is herself the foundation of several notably well-sold offspring. High Class L3B Z (by Heartbreaker, 2021) sold for €52,000. Sagrance L3B (by Bisquet Balou van de Mispelaere, 2018) achieved €34,000, as did Carina SD Z (by Cornet Obolensky, 2022). Excellente L3B (by Echo van ’t Spieveld, 2023) sold for €26,000. This embryo is a half-brother or half-sister to these still young horses.
Golden Ermitage Kalone
The sire is 5* Grand Prix winner Ermitage Kalone. Under Gilles Thomas, the son of Catoki has developed into a consistent performer at the highest level, highlighted by team gold and individual bronze at last summer’s European Championships. His oldest offspring are now progressing at 1.40/1.45m level. This combination brings together proven 1.60m performance on both sides of the pedigree, paired with a dam line that has also shown strong commercial appeal in recent generations.
Involved from the very beginning
For the buyer, investing in this implanted embryo means being involved from the very first moment in the development of a promising sport horse from one of the most respected lines in modern showjumping. This is not simply a pedigree on paper, it is a carefully considered choice. Suus personally selected and secured this embryo, overseeing the process with the same attention and responsibility she would demand for her own stable. The foal is expected to be born March 2026, marking the true beginning of a journey that starts long before the first jump is ever made.
