The spring auction of Youhorse.auction was kicked off by a successful first night. Three horses under saddle reached a top price of 26,000 euro, but also this time the collection included talents for every purse. Tonight, Tuesday 2 May, the second part of the collection will come under the hammer.

Mario Everse, who, together with Alan Waldman, organises the auction, is enthusiastic: “We managed to compile a great collection for this spring auction. A large and varied group of horses that all have one thing in common: above average talents for the sport. Since we were able to select so many good horses this time, we decided to spread the collection over two nights.”

“The first auction night demonstrated that Youhorse.auction is an interesting place for purchasing talents for the future. Many horses were sold for very reasonable prices. That promises profit!”

Three continents bid 26,000 euro

The title of ‘best sold auction horse’ was shared by three horses that Monday-night which will each leave for a different continent. The 5-yr-old Sauvage van ’t Hulsbos (Diarado x I’m Special de Muze) will go to South Africa for 26,000 euro. The same amount was paid for the 6-yr-old Zidane (Zinedine x Stakkato) who will continue his sport career in Germany. The third is the 5-yr-old mare Shaqiri (Corneto Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly) who has charmed Canadian buyers.

Among the younger talents, it was the 3-yr-old Phythargos (Conthargos x Harley VDL) who was the object for fiercest bidding duel. Eventually the chestnut stallion was knocked down for 22,000 euro and will go to the USA. The diverse collection attracted equally diverse buyers, some of them from Morocco and Palestina.

Mario Everse is confidently looking forward to the second part of the auction today: “We have high expectations. The clever buyer should take a quick peek at the website, for there are several very interesting horses among them.”
