“Chacco-Blue is still incredibly popular”
“The Chacco-Blue blood combined with Zarina, the half-sister to Explosion W, is still incredibly sought after. This mare is now truly proving herself in breeding as well. The 1.55m horse Iron Dames Michael Jackson W, ridden by Sophie Hinners, is the half-brother to this filly,” says Sjaak van der Lei, founder of Studutch Auction. The same mare is also the dam of the approved 1.45m stallion Liamant W, Narina I W, who finished sixth in the six-year-old final at the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses and now competes at 1.45m level, the approved stallion Rising Blue and his full brother, the licensed stallion Reaction W van ‘t Studutch. An implanted embryo out of this same mare is also part of the collection.
United Touch x Grand Prix pony Lonette
Another remarkable foal is Winning Touch. His dam is none other than the international Grand Prix pony Orchid’s Lonette, with whom Siebe Leemans enjoyed years of success. “This dam is phenomenal. For seven consecutive years, this pony stood on the podium at both the Regional and Dutch Championships, indoors and outdoors. And she jumped 87% of her rounds clear.” Will the foal become a horse or a pony? “A horse, definitely, and not a small one either. It will be a horse with the character of a pony,” says Sjaak van der Lei.
