“Saturday’s collection is slightly larger than usual because the quality was simply too good. We had such an interesting selection that it became very difficult to decide which foals to leave out. Breeders continue to place their trust in us and that confidence is rewarded because there is always strong demand for the better foals,” explain Luk Van Puymbroeck and Gerald Lenaerts.
That confidence is also reflected in the auction results. Across the last three Flanders Foal Auctions, the average price exceeded €28,000. This Saturday’s collection offers plenty of variety, featuring 41 foals by 20 different sires. Comme il Faut leads the way with six offspring, followed by United Touch S and Cornet Obolensky with four each.

Predicting the auction topper is nearly impossible, as the catalogue is packed with exceptional pedigrees.
The filly Cassiopeia van WW Z (Chacco Blue x Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) is bred out of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Esquina van Klapscheut and is a half-sister to Irco van Klapscheut (1.60m Grand Prix). Another standout filly is Elaba van Overis (Emerald x Celano), whose dam is Ciske van Overis, the World Cup Final mare ridden by Edwina Tops-Alexander.
The dam of the elegant Charlotte LN Z (Comme il Faut x Cardento) jumped 1.50m courses and is a sister to Qardentoo Castanoo (1.60m Grand Prix).
Coyalensky Z (Cornet Obolensky x Kannan) boasts one of the strongest damlines in the catalogue. He is bred out of the full sister to Babbe van ‘t Roosakker (1.60m Grand Prix) and is a grandson of the legendary foundation mare Usha van ‘t Roosakker. Usha produced four 1.60m horses herself and is also the granddam of another six 1.60m Grand Prix horses.
Unbelievable Touch vh Maaskantje Z (United Touch S x Colander) is bred out of the half-sister to Olympic champion Explosion W, ridden by Ben Maher, and is a half-brother to Evenzo (1.60m Grand Prix).
Charming Boy (Comme il Faut x Colestus) is a grandson of the five-star Grand Prix winner Gotha FRH, who claimed team gold at the European Championships in Madrid with Ludger Beerbaum and team bronze in Herning with Henrik von Eckermann.
