Exceptional 3yo stallion Adonis van ’t Ruytershof headlines the latest SK Favorite auction

The SK Favorite of September is truly something special. The three-years-old stallion Adonis van ’t Ruytershof himself, a son of the Grand Prix stallion Levis de Muze and granddam is 1.55m mare L’Esmeralda van ‘t Meulenhof, shows tremendous potential. “He is living up his name and is fanastic to work with”, says Suus Kuyten, founder of the online auction concept SK Favorite. The bidding starts Friday September 4 and the auction closes Monday September 7 from 8pm.

“I’m a big fan of the Emerald van ’t Ruytershof lineage”, explains Suus Kuyten. “I like their carefullness, intelligence and working attitude. And this is also why I really like Adonis van ’t Ruytershof. He shows a lot of talent and scope under the saddle. Next to it, he loves attention and is such a sweetheart.”

Dam lines of Qerly Chin, Fein Cera and Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof

Adonis van ’t Ruytershof brings together three of the most distinguished performance damlines in modern showjumping breeding: Qerly Chin, Fein Cera and Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof. His sire Levis de Muze has already secured numerous placings at 5* Grand Prix level and impressed at the EC in Riesenbeck under Ioli Mytilineou. As a son of Grand Prix mare Heroine de Muze, Levis de Muze represents the world-famous Qerly Chin damline and is establishing himself as an exciting sire for the future.

Halfbrother to 1.60m Q7 van ‘t Ruytershof

And the damline of Adonis van ’t Ruytershof is equally impressive. Through the genetically valuable By Cera d’Ick, a son of the legendary Grand Prix mare Fein Cera, this exceptional family traces back to Koen Vereecke’s 1.55m performer L’Esmeralda van ’t Meulenhof. She has already produced the 1.60m showjumper Q7 van ’t Ruytershof (Pedro Junqueira Muylaert), Adonis van ‘t Ruytershof his half-brother. In the third generation, we find the highly successful 5* Grand Prix mare Ilusionata van ’t Meulenhof (Niels Bruynseels). She is a half-sister to outstanding international performers and breeding icons, including Olympic stallion and world-class sire Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, as well as the influential Grand Prix mare Diamanthina van ’t Ruytershof.

A different approach to auctions

With SK Favorite, Suus Kuyten deliberately takes a different approach to horse auctions. Instead of presenting a large collection, every edition focuses on just one carefully selected horse. “The market has changed. Buyers are searching for quality all year round. With this concept, I can offer my clients something extra alongside the live auction in December,” Kuyten explains.
