After all, 68 pairs had entered the starting list for the main competition at the CSI3* in Herning over 1.50m and two rounds: André Thieme and his ten-year-old Casallco son Casanova H were also among the 17 best who were eligible to start in round two. Thieme took over the reins of the stallion in July 2024 from Maximilian Wricke.
And in the round, Thieme also delivered for Hannover and the double zero was achieved. For a short time, the two were in the lead, until the Pole Juri Sokolovsk entered the course on Edith (v. El Salvador). With a time of 44.32 seconds, the Pole was still a fraction faster than Thieme with 44.63 seconds and placed the national team rider in second place.
Third place was secured by the Schleswig-Holstein rider Thore Stierer on the saddle of the Holstein mare Catwalk (v. Comme il Faut), with two flawless rounds. The ten-year-old mare comes from the family-owned breeding of Thore Stiepers’ grandfather Reimer Hedt. Fourth place also carried the black-and-red-gold colors and went to Christian Hess with Zafier (v. Zinedine).
