He is only eight years old and obviously a natural talent – just like his rider: The Oldenburger Diatasio (v. Diaron OLD) won a CSI2* Grand Prix in Greenwich, USA with his rider Richard Vogel just over three weeks ago – today the highly talented stallion added another feather to his cap: In the competition of the CSI5* qualifying over 1.55m, the Brown horse galloped away in a dominant, fast pace and secured the Gold ribbon for his rider.
It was only in June that Richard Vogel took over the reins of the eight-year-old Diatasio by Marvin Jüngel, who had presented Diatasio at the World Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken. About six weeks ago, Vogel and the Diaron son then went on to compete at a national tournament in Biblis and won the S*-jumping over 1.40m.
At the end of August, Diatasio demonstrated his exceptional quality with a victory in the Youngster Tour in Brussels at the Stephex Masters. This was followed by the victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix in Greenwich – and today, with the victory in Tryon, Diatasio achieved the breakthrough to the 5*-level without any detour via 3*- or 4*-level competitions.
Behind them, Richard Vogel and Diatasio finished third in the final with a time of 36.82 seconds, ahead of the American Nicholas Dello Jojo with Cornet’s Cambridge (37.62 seconds) and the Irishman Shane Sweetnam with Pia Maria H (38.09 seconds). A total of 13 pairs advanced to the final after flawless rounds.
