Large outbursts of emotion are rarely seen in public with Simon Heineke, and when they do – it’s usually after a second-place finish like this year at the Hamburg Derby: But today, the trainer from the Moorhof stables let his joy flow freely at the CSI3* in Herning and raised his triumphant fist into the sky: Just before that, he had secured the victory in the CSI3* Medium with the Holstein mare Call Me Pretty (v. Comme il Faut) and thus surpassed 62 competitors.
As one of the last starters, Heineke took the lead from behind and took it from Robin Naeve of Sweden’s Comme Si Comme Sa, also a Comme il Faut-Tochter. At Simon Heineke’s helm, the clock stopped after a rapid 54.60 seconds; for Robin Naeve, the time was 55.11 seconds. Third place was taken by Hans Thorben Rüder on Singu (v. Singulord Joter).
