Now the new FEI regulations have also suspended the young Irish rider Max Wachmann for a month. While the 23-year-old was actually preparing for the season in Oliva, stewards discovered blood on a horse belonging to him at the CSI3* on Sunday – the second time this year after the CSI4* in Ocala earlier in the year. And according to the new rules, this means that he is automatically suspended for a month.
After Saudi rider Abdullah Al Sharbatly, whose suspension has now expired, Max Wachmann is the second prominent rider to be suspended within a few weeks due to a second „Jumping Recorded Warning Card“. Only from November 19 will the young Irishman be allowed to continue his career in tournaments.
The list of FEI Warning Cards is getting longer almost daily. From Germany, with one „Jumping Recorded Warning Card“ each, we have Niklas Betz, Sven Schlüsselburg, Philipp Schulze Topphoff, Vieca Sofie Bade, Tony Stormanns, Sönke Fallenberg. Elisabeth Meyer, Hanne Elin Ottersky and Philipp Weishaupt are on the list and must be careful that no injury to one of their horses occurs again this year.
