The World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) has published its rankings for 2026. In show jumping, Jireh from Bull Run v. Uriko and his breeder Timm Peters (Bargenstedt) the list.
Participate in the variety Diabolo v. Diarado and Fritz Maschmann (Wrohe) takes second place. In the ranking of the studbooks, the Association of Holstein Breeders e.V. claims second place (Versatility) and third place (Jumping) for itself.
„This award is something very special for my family and me,“ says Timm Peters. „26 years ago I took over the breeding from my father and since then we have already experienced one or two successes, but also some setbacks. Now to lead Jireh to this globally recognized ranking fills us with pride and gratitude.“
With the now deceased Elfriede Bornholdt in Moorrege, Timm Peters bought a foal a few years ago that was to have a lasting impact on his breeding: Conella v. Colman-Contender from the 890 line. He repeatedly paired the Brown with Uriko. And that turned out to be a very good decision. Immediately in the first year she gave birth to Jireh. In sport, Lena Glisic had already bred Jireh under the name Uno – just like many horses from Peter’s breeding.
At the age of six, the Holsteinian then moved to Kristen Vanderveen (USA) and has since been excelling in every competition. In the 2026 season, the pair impressively demonstrated their class: highlights included victory in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Doha as well as other significant achievements, including a victory in a 1.60-meter competition as part of the Global Champions Tour in Rome.
In this year's overall ranking, the Holsteiner horses and their breeders are in bronze position in the jumping category.
