Top horses are not born in the auction ring. Their success stories begin years earlier – with conscious pairings, proven bloodlines, and a sense for exceptional talents. On Saturday, December 12, 2026, the 47th Performance Sales International (P.S.I.) auction in Ankum will present 52 top-class young horses – 26 dressage horses and 26 show jumping horses. All of them stand for a claim that has defined the P.S.I. brand for more than four decades: to produce the champions of tomorrow. The festive opening will be the traditional P.S.I. gala on Friday, December 11.
The P.S.I. collection 2026 reflects the breeding philosophy of founders Paul Schockemöhle and Ullrich Kasselmann. Their consistent commitment to quality and performance has made P.S.I. one of the most prestigious addresses in international sports horse trading. The achievements speak for themselves: former P.S.I. auction horses have proven their skills at the highest sporting level for decades. At the FEI World Championships in Aachen 2026, this success story was once again impressively documented.
Where tomorrow's Champions will begin
What distinguishes the P.S.I. is the comprehensive knowledge of every individual auction horse. When a young talent enters the auction ring in Ankum, Schockemöhle and Kasselmann already know about his development, strengths, and potential.
Over the decades at the Lewitz Stud and the Osthoff Stud, a breeding base was established from which repeatedly successful sport horses emerged. Proven mother strains are specifically mated with stallions whose genetic performance is not solely based on a promising pedigree but has already been confirmed through successful offspring in international sport.
The goal is clear: healthy, race-ready horses with the talent, conformation and athletic ability for a successful career in top-level sport. From breeding and rearing to professional training, every step follows this commitment. The 2026 collection continues this philosophy consistently and offers buyers carefully selected young horses backed by the experience, expertise and international success of two of the sport’s most influential horsemen.
Dressage: High-caliber pedigrees with a Grand Prix perspective
The dressage collection combines some of the most sought-after bloodlines in modern dressage horse breeding. With stallions such as Fürst Zonik, Fürst Jazz, Dynamic Dream and Total Hope OLD, the selection is top-notch.
The close familial connections to already successful sport horses are particularly significant. Among the 26 dressage-trained young horses are close blood relatives of Christoph Koschel’s Grand Prix star Destare and the national champion Saniola. Other talents come from the mother strains of Marieke van der Puttens’ Forza RS2 and Yara Reichert’s rising Grand Prix horse Force Majeure. A full brother of the prize-winning horse Grey Tonic rounds off the high-quality selection, which impresses with quality, movement strength and sporting potential.
Running: Championship blood and extraordinary wealth
The lot of the 26 young show horses presents itself no less impressively. The offspring of the deceased Chacoon Blue, by Diaron OLD and his son Diablue PS, as well as the proven Conthargos, underline the breeding quality.
The show jumping collection also boasts close familial ties to internationally successful sport horses. These include a half-brother of the team bronze winner of the FEI World Championships 2026, Chacco Volo under Adrian Whiteway, as well as a gelding from a half-sister of Cian O’Connor’s world championship horse Chatolinue PS. Additionally, there is a half-sister of O’Connor’s Grand Prix horse Canbella Blue PS and an impressive son of the five-star-level winning show jumping mare Chacstara.
These young talents are exemplary of the strength of the P.S.I. breeding program, which combines technology and athleticism with the demands of international show jumping.
