The winner was satisfied: „When you ride practically at home, even as a little boy in the arena, that just makes everything a lot of fun. The horses notice that too and enjoy the atmosphere. Before us, no one had a zero round in the course, and that was what I wanted to change. And going out as the first starter in the course means a certain amount of pressure. But I can handle that, I’m not exactly 22 anymore.“ On the overall circumstances, Mario Stevens added: „The course was fair, the ground was optimal. Eight pairs in the final are great, young and older horses, younger and older riders – what more could you want?“
For Max Paschertz, the second place again felt like a victory: „I am mega happy. I don’t live that far away anyway and had my family with me. Even my grandma was able to see me in the saddle. I learned a lot from Mario and knew in the steeplechase that his time could no longer be beaten.“ Sina Schütze considers her Ladina PS to be a very special horse that she presented at a tournament for the first time for the third time. „Best Amazon with double zero, that’s impressive. The atmosphere here in Oldenburg is great. People don’t know you at all and still cheer you on. It’s just great,“ was her conclusion.
