They are true repeat offenders: The horse riders from Baden-Württemberg successfully defended their title and decided the German Championship of the Landesverbände with 8,000 euros prize money at the Grand Prix of Saxony. With this victory, the Baden-Württemberg riders secure their fourth title within ten years. This year, Benjamin Wulschner rode Kilcannon Emerald (v. Chacco-Blue) for the winning team.

There was a fantastic atmosphere on Friday evening in the hall at the German Championships of the Landesverbände, which was held for the third time in Chemnitz. This sporting highlight offered great potential for enthusiasm. 13 teams competed in this nationwide competition – including two teams from the host region Saxony – which fought for the official title of German Champion of the Landesverbände in two rounds over 1.45m. Among those participating was also European Champion and Aachen winner André Thieme.

The six best teams qualified for the final round, each with three riders. Thirteen obstacles and 13 jumps required the riders and their horses to perform in the course. There was great tension until the final starter, as the German Championship of the Landesverbände was decided. In the final round, Mohamad Mogheeth Alshehab had the chance to take the victory to Hesse for the first time or to stay with the defending champion Baden-Württemberg. In the all-decisive final round, Mohamad Mogheeth Alshehab had the chance to take the victory again to Hesse, which he did after a strong, fast zero round. With the roaring applause of the audience, the defending champion secured his fourth victory in this team event. The team from Hesse with Angelina Herröder, Anke Stroman, and Jörg Oppermann also showed strong rounds and placed second ahead of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with André Thieme, Holger Wulschner, and Christoph Lanske.
