A total of 14 starters completed the van Mossel Automotive Prix, the CSI4* over 1.50m, without fault. But Katrin Eckermann had made it clear early on that the zero at this evening’s event in Maastricht would not be enough. She swept through the course like a whirlwind on Chao Lee (v. Comme il Faut), sired by her father Otmar Eckermann, and finished without a fault after 58.48. This time was kept up until the end, with all the competitors thereafter only racing for places behind the Amazone, which thus, so to speak, put the icing on the cake of her victory from last year in the Medium Tour.
Her local rider Lars Kersten was closest in the final, but he needed 58.79 seconds with Dynamite Dillon Z (v. Dominator 2000 Z). His compatriot Harrie Smolders on Mr. Tac (v. Non Stop) came in third.
From a time perspective, Christian Ahlmann would also have been in the lead in Mandato van de Neerheide (v. Emerald), but a slight mistake on the way prevented him from finishing top and he slipped out of the money race.
