In the final of the five-year-old show jumping horses, the Norton Motorcycle Prize, the Hanoverian stallion Arcassio convinced his rider Jana Fink in both rounds. The Brown horse from the breeding of Josef and Christiane Wilbers improved once more in the final. In the first round, the Alaba-Darco de Revel son achieved a score of 9.0, in the second round he reached the best score of the day: 9.3. With a total score of 18.3, the victory was theirs. „Arcassio amazes me every day. I am extremely pleased with his development in recent weeks. It is a joy to be able to ride him. It feels very easy,“ his rider raves about the Hanoverian from the North Rhine-Westphalian state stud farm. „I am extremely pleased with the victory. Arcassio was already special as a foal. He doesn’t only impress with his ability, but above all with his character. His mother FS Darcos Diva was the winner mare at the Hanoverian Association at the time,“ Josef Wilbers fondly recalls: „She really stood out at the time. We had several offers and consciously decided to take her into breeding.“
Zados R, the son of the Zinedream Congress, finished second in the final of the five-year-old show jumping horses at the consteed Arena. The chestnut gelding from the Westphalian breeding of Carsten Ronne is being presented by Ciaran Nallon, who has been working at Ludger Beerbaum’s stable in Riesenbeck since October 2023. Zados R performed the tasks assigned to him in both rounds with great ease. The judges scored him 9.1 and 9.0, underlining his quality.
Desiree Kemper finished in third place with the Westfalen Crismo in the final of the five-year-old show jumping horses. The Cornet Obolensky-A Lee Spring Power offspring impressed with its consistency and composure on the course. Awarded with very good points, the judges rated him 8.9 in both rounds – the secure third place. The stallion from the breeding of Marianne Böckenhoff is presented by Desiree Kemper and is owned by Anja Zell. In total, the ten best pairs entered the second round of the final.
Viktoria Laufkötter, Head of the Jumping Division at the Bundeschampionate, said after the decision: „We had an outstanding quality of five-year-old jumping horses this year – as good as never before. There were several favorites and it remained exciting until the very end which three horses would make it into the medal ranks.“ (fn-press)
