Organizer Mario Everse looked back with a broad smile: „Two auction highlights that were sold for €60,000 are of course a fantastic result. These are extraordinary beautiful horses that will bring great joy to their new owners. The horses that were ridden were clearly popular, but the high-quality young horses also attracted great interest. A two-year-old, for example, was sold for €20,000.“
The nine-year-old mare Perigueux’s Paula (Perigueux x Ibero I) was one of the most sought-after horses. In the end, Cupido triumphed in Armenia, where she will continue her career at the 1.40 m level. The seven-year-old chestnut stallion Vincenzo (Vingino x Balou du Rouet) achieved the same top price and will travel to Poland.
In addition to the two highlights of Valentine, four more horses were sold for amounts of over €25,000. The eight-year-old mare E-Gold (E-Star x Vingino) and the twelve-year-old Jack Daniels (Emir R x Renville) both found a new home in the United States. The six-year-old Curraghmore Miss Quin (Mr Quincy B x Ard VDL Douglas) remains in the Netherlands. The six-year-old mare Pien (L’Extreme BH x Zirocco Blue VDL) will be welcomed by buyers from Ecuador.
Worldwide love for the Youhorse collection
The Valentine collection has found its way to no fewer than 22 different countries. The four-year-old Grandominago Z (Grandorado x Dominator 2000 Z) will go to Mexico, while the six-year-old Sandro Gold (Sandro Junior x Stakkato Gold) will continue his career in South Africa. The two-year-old Diaran (Diarado x Karajan) was sold to New Zealand.
Germany led the way with eight purchases, followed by France with seven. Egypt and Slovakia also made a splash with five and four purchases, respectively.
The spring auction continues
After this successful Valentine’s Day auction, the team at Youhorse.auction is already looking forward to the spring auction on Tuesday, March 3rd. „It will be a wonderful mix of sport and breeding, from embryo to tournament horse,“ promises Mario Everse. „There are still a few spots left for the video and selection days on Monday, February 9th, and Tuesday, February 10th.
