Seven horses competed in the CSI4* World Equestrian Games at Live Oak International in Ocala – and André Thieme had to start in the grass arena as second with Conacco (v. Chacco-Blue). He completed the task quickly and flawlessly – but in the end he was not the fastest double-clearer. As third, he had to let two competitors who started after him take the lead.
Immediately after Thieme, Bertram Allen rode with Emmy Lou (by Billy Mexico) into the lead, setting the faster time – but still did not win. His fellow Irishman Daniel Coyle, on Ivory TCS (by Falaise de Muze), managed to complete the obstacle course even faster.
But André Thieme's travel bag had already been filled up in Ocala that day: A few miles further down the road at the HITS Post Time Farm, the Mecklenburgian had already secured third place in the CSI2* Grand Prix with DSP Callas (v. Casskeni II) in the morning – with the associated prize money. There, Aaron Vale won with Prescott (v. Lordanos).
