The sports venue of Neu-Benthen is back: From April 8th to 10th, a spring meeting for the equestrian sport will take place on the grounds of the Schmidt Stud Farm. A total of 13 competitions, including many for young horses, will take place at this outdoor tournament of the RV Neu-Benthen für Reiten und Fahren e.V. André Thieme (Plau a.S.) will also be making a “comeback” in front of a home crowd. The European champion returns from the USA and will then be in Neu-Benthen at the same time.
The Schmidt team has created a fast-paced and pragmatic program that takes into account various needs. There are four jumping horse competitions taking place on Friday for horses aged four to seven years old. The competition categories have been open so that amateurs can also showcase their young horses. This also applies to the A and L jumping competitions on Saturday and Sunday.
Parcours chief Norman Diedering can do even better, higher, wider and further this weekend, as M and S jumping are also on the program. The highlight of the first tournament in Neu-Benthen after a long hiatus is a two-phase jumping competition in S* class on Sunday. Riders from all over Germany and participants with a guest license from the FN are welcome.
The sports offer is well received: Anna Ebel-Jürgens and husband Ulf Ebel (Polzow), as well as state champion Stella Eggers (Wendorf/ Austria), state hall champion Christoph Lanske (Dersekow) and Thomas Kleis (Wendorf) are also present. Several guests from Brandenburg have also shown up. Due to the Corona regulations, the planned presentation of the stallions from the Schmidt station has been cancelled. The spring meeting in Neu-Benthen will take place under 3-G rules.
