Thunderstorms and heavy rain: Longines League of Nations Final in Barcelona postponed

Heavy rainfall and the announced thunderstorms have forced the organizers in Barcelona into action:

„Given the forecasted adverse weather conditions and the warnings of the Catalan government and the Catalan meteorological service (Meteocat), the final of the Longines League of Nations™ 2026, which takes place in Barcelona (ESP) and was originally scheduled for Sunday, October 4 at 12:00 PM CEST, will now take place at 2:30 PM CEST.

This decision was made to ensure the safety of spectators, participants and teams, as well as the well-being of the horses. Further information will be announced in due course,“ the FEI said.

If the weather in Spain on Sunday afternoon plays along, Team Germany will start with team world champions Marcus Ehning and Coolio (v. Casalito) as the first or seventh pair. They will be followed by Sophie Hinners and Iron Dames My Prins (v. Zilverstar T), Jörne Sprehe and Toys (v. Toulon) and as the final pair Richard Vogel and Cloudio (v. Casall).
