Germany’s U25 Spring Cup kicks off in Hagen as part of the international tournament „Horses and Dreams“ for the 2022 season! It is now clear which talents in the jumping saddle under 25 years of age are allowed to compete in the first qualifying round of the tournament series organized by the German Foundation for Top Horse Sports and the Müter Family.
Germany’s U25 Spring Cup, organized by the German Foundation for Top Horse Sports and the Müter family, offers young talents in the saddle the opportunity to gain experience at top-level competitions and set big goals for the season. Launched in 2013, the Spring Cup gives female riders up to 25 years the opportunity to grow into the senior category.
The route from Germany’s U25 Spring Cup 2022 to the final at CHIO Aachen runs through four stages. This year, the stages are in succession: the international tournament Horses and Dreams at the Kasselman family’s farm in Hagen on the Teutoburg Forest takes place from April 20 to 24. This is followed by the international Maimarkt tournament in Mannheim from May 6 to 10. The final will take place in Groß Viegeln, when the Spring Cup from May 18 to 22 is, for the first time, hosted at the Holger Wulschner facility as part of the international four-star tournament. The final qualification will take place from June 9 to 12 as part of the German Championships in Dressage and Jumping in Balve.
„We have again four super high-level competitions and I am looking forward to both the tried and tested competitions and to seeing the big horses with their spring cup debut,“ says Peter Teeuwen, who is overseeing the spring cup as a junior national coach. He says: „We have many pairs this year who have moved from the U21 team into the U25 class. It will be interesting to see how they handle the individual stages. I am very confident that we will also have some good teams and pairs in the next few years. We have already seen great talents in the spring cup who have now made it to the big sport.“
