The young son of Verdi x Cavalier attracted considerable attention from international buyers. In the end, Mexican bidders secured the winning bid. The five-year-old gelding Diamond Stream Z (Diamant de Semilly x Andiamo Z) also generated significant interest. With his scope and a dam competing at 1.60m level, he convinced buyers from Slovakia. The four-year-old gelding Rocketman (Kannan Jr x Numero Uno) will continue his career in the United States, while the equally aged mare Onna (Cornet Obolensky x Nabab de Rêve) found a new owner in Slovakia.
Growing worldwide interest
Organizer Mario Everse looks back with satisfaction on two successful auction days. “Once again, we see many returning customers purchasing another horse. That remains the best proof that horses from our auctions are ending up in the right hands. At the same time, we were pleased to welcome new buyers as well. The collection offered opportunities for a wide audience, ranging from young talents to experienced sport horses. Attractive deals were made, and we are pleased that both sellers and buyers benefited from them.”
The horses from the Pre-Summer Auction were sold to buyers in no fewer than 24 different countries. Germany and France were particularly active in the bidding this edition, while buyers from Mexico, Brazil, Canada and the United Arab Emirates also secured horses. This international distribution once again means plenty of work for transport companies, which will be delivering the horses to destinations around the world in the coming weeks.
Selection days
Enthusiasts will not have to wait long for another opportunity. The Summer Auction of Youhorse.auction will close on Tuesday, July 7. Video and selection days for this auction will take place on Monday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 16.
“We have already received a number of quality entries, but there are still a few places available,” says Mario Everse. “Anyone with an outstanding sport horse who would like to present it to an international audience of buyers is warmly invited to register. With summer just around the corner, this is an ideal time for many owners to successfully sell their horse.”
New: HorseMarket.auction
Mario Everse is not standing still. In addition to the familiar Youhorse.auction sales, he is launching a new initiative this week: www.HorseMarket.auction, an online platform inspired by the traditional horse markets of the past.
“We want to create an accessible marketplace where supply and demand can easily come together. From ponies and leisure horses to young horses, broodmares and sport horses, everyone should be able to find opportunities there,” explains Everse.
The first collection is already online and will close on June 8.
