From the perspective of the German starters, the final day of the Toscana Tour in Arezzo was quite successful:
With a six-hundredth of a second lead, Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann won the final of the Silver Tour this morning over Cornela (v. Cornet Obolensky), a 4* World Championship jumping competition over 1.45m. In the final, she beat Robert Whitaker with Chatondo (v. Chacco-Blue) to take second place.
After that, the German team continued: Jörne Sprehe also delivered a quick double zero with Toys (v. Toulon) and finished third. Sophie Hinners had bad luck and came in fourth with Iron Dames Singclair (v. Singular Ls La Silla) with four points from the jump. She was nevertheless still in the money, just as immediately behind her with the same result Marie Flick on DSP Charlott (v. Colestus).
After the awards ceremony, it was on to the Grand Prix, also a 4* World Ranking and at the same time an Olympic qualifying event, this time over 1.55m. Only two managed to complete all the turns without any errors and qualified for the short course. Emma Emanuelsson on Canbella Blue PS (v. Cantolar) delivered a double zero and thus secured the victory ahead of Philipp Weishaupt, who completed the shortened course with two errors on Zineday (v. Zinedine).
With the third fastest four-point round in the heats, Jörne Sprehe earned her second loop of the day. She finished fifth on Hot Easy (v. Andiamo Z) ahead of Jens Baackmann on Lorenz (v. Livello). And Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann also secured her second loop: finishing twelfth with Cellagon Cascais (v. Colestus).
