They are back: After the baby break, Jana Wargers and Dorette OLD (v. Dollar du Murier) are now in Samorin, after warming up in Riesenbeck, and are making everyone clear that they can be expected again. After placing fifth on Friday in the Gold Tour, they really stepped up their game on this Saturday in the hurdle competition of the World Ranking Jumping, the CSI3* Grand Prix Qualifier over 1.50m, and were fastest to the finish. Unfortunately, a pole fell along the way, so instead of victory in the end they finished in fourth place.
In this way, Laura Hetzel became the best German in this main jump of the day: With Cornet’s Mandarino (v. Cornet Session), she needed a few more seconds, but she remained faultless and finished third. The victory went to Switzerland, with Jason Smith on Picobello van’t Roosakker (v. Kassander van’t Roosakker) ahead of the Austrian Jennifer Jaritz-Gnaser on Nektini (v. Nekton).
Two more Germans had qualified for the eighth place in the jump competition, and both had to suffer a jumping error in the final as well: Mick Haunhorst finished sixth with Lily-Rose JT da la Limite Z (v. Lugi d’Eclipse) ahead of Daniel Böttcher on Obora’s Little Richard (v. Luidam).
