He was a very special horse – a championship horse with the biggest heart: the Holsteiner C Vier 2, a son of Cardento. With David Will on the saddle, the horse won the Rolex Grand Prix in Rome; in 2021, C Vier and his German rider also became European team vice-champion in Riesenbeck. A year later, the Brown horse took part in the World Championships in Herning with the Irish rider Cian O’Connor. Subsequently, C Vier was sold to Isabella Russekoff. With the Israeli-based show jumper, C Vier competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris; a year later, he took part with his rider at the European Championships in A Coruna. Now, at the age of 18, C Vier has died far too early. His owner, Isabella Russekoff, announced this on Instagram:
„Rest in peace, my angel C Vier. I am so grateful to have known a soul like yours. It breaks my heart that our time together came to an end so early, but I am grateful for every single moment. C Vier made my wildest dream of competing at the Olympic Games in Paris come true. The path to that goal was filled with setbacks, long days, and moments when everything seemed to be stacked against us, but he was always there for me, giving 110 percent and making the impossible possible. I have never met a horse with more fighting spirit. No challenge was too big, and his big heart never let him give up. He taught me patience, trust, and what it means to be a true partner. He was my other half, and I will miss our quiet moments just as much as the great…,“ writes Isabella Russekoff. Rest in peace, C Vier.
