In the race for victory at the Sires of the world in Lanaken, the German riders shone: Five of the ten pairs of German riders qualified for the final after strong rounds over 1.50m. Patrick Stühlmeyer had two „iron horses“ in the fire with his new addition Baloutaire PS (v. Balou du Rouet) and the first-time eight-year-old stallion Chaloubino PS OLD (v. Chacoon Blue). He had to rely on Baloutaire PS to get the job done. And that is what the experienced stallion and the German champion of 2024 did. After only 42.80 blitzschnelle seconds, the duo was in the finish and the time could have also been enough for the victory, if only the last pole had not rolled into the sand. So the duo finished seventh.
The victory went to the radiant Dutch rider in the saddle of Marriet Smit-Hoekstra on the nine-year-old For Chacco TN (v. For Pleasure) and with a flawless time of 46.13 seconds in the jumping competition. As the last starter, Patrick Stühlmeyer tried to beat this time even more in the saddle of Chaloubino PS OLD, but it wasn’t quite enough. But 46.19 seconds were good enough for second place on the podium. Third place was secured by home rider Christian Ahlmann on Untouched LB (v. United Touch S). On fourth place, the Holstein horse United Way (v. Uniko) with Lucas Wenz in the saddle jumped ahead of Maximillian Lill and Romeo C (v. Casall la Lilla).
