It was the crowning finale of the Danube Tour Final in Snagov, Romania, a few kilometers north of the capital Bucharest: In the CSI3* World Cup Qualifier over 1.50m, Max Haunhorst rode two horses in the final and secured the victory with ease – adding a cherry on top with fifth place.
With the eight-year-old I’M Spezial 2 (by I M Special de Muze), he galloped across the finish line without a single fault for the second time in the steeplechase in 36.53 seconds, thus relegating the Hungarian top rider Peter Szuhai, who needed 38.07 seconds with Corbluecenta (by Balou du Reventon), to second place. With the likewise only eight-year-old Cera Blue B (by Chacoon Blue), Max Haunhorst delivered a second double zero in the steeplechase, taking 39.16 seconds, which meant fifth place.
