Sad news from Bertram Allen: After a minor injury to his top horse „Buddy“ aka Pacino Amiro (v. Pacino), Allen cannot travel with the Irish team to the Olympic Games in Paris.
Bertram Allen writes on his social media channels: „I am sad to have to announce that due to a minor injury to Buddy, I am unable to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris. I was very much looking forward to our second joint Olympic Games, but Buddy’s health comes first of course. I wish the Irish team all the best in Paris. They are stronger than ever before and capable of achieving great things.“
In Paris, Ireland will be represented by Cian O’Connor, Shane Sweetnam and Conor Swail in the show jumping competition.
